IG อองตวน ปินโต | A fight i will always remember.
Going into this bout as my “last” muaythai fight before signing with Glory Kickboxing for a new path with new challenges, i though of it as an “easy” good bye as i was pretty confident of my skills and abilities to control this opponent.... well i guess i was wrong.
First round went exactly as planed, distance was good, felt stronger, faster, just overall better than the guy. But in the first few seconds of the 2nd round i got low kicked right behind the knee and my knee got dislocated... (prob the worst pain ever to be in a fight)
For a second impossible for me to get up because of all the pain it caused as i watched my knee magically popped itself back in the right spot. Most people would probably have stopped and i don’t even know why i put myself through this pain sometimes to be honest but as i was sitting down i caught my brother looking at me like he was feeling my pain... i don’t think anyone would have said anything if i didn’t get up. But i just couldnt lose this fight, not this one, not agaisnt him, not in France. So i got up, took me a few secs to get back in focus and fully got back in the fight. With one leg available now i tried to focus on hands and more take downs. And i worked. Got the W. Couldnt walk for about 2 weeks after that tho and i still ask myself till now if it was worth it or not but well.... its not part of my history. Now when kids tell me their dreams is to become a fighter all i want to say is don’t. Just go to school seriously i don’t understand why would anyone want to do this haha #TeamPinto
