IG นท พนายางกูร | Yesterday #NetFreeSea by @ejfoundation Thailand pulled up total of 150 kg ghost nets / gear from Hin Plerng dive site in Rayong. Overfishing and Illegal fishing is still a big problem in the fishing industry. 1 out of 5 of the fish on our plate is from illegal fishing. By 2050, scientists estimated that there will be more plastic trash in the ocean more than fish. 🐟🕸 How do you feel hearing this? Pretty insane right? I’ve never seen this much ghost nets underwater in one dive in my life but the dive leader said this is very little compare to what he had seen in other places. 🤯 So what can do you to help? You can tell your boat driver/ dive leader or even DM me if you see ghost nets/ gear like these under water destroying the eco system. We’ll go pull them up in hope that one day Thailand will be a net free sea. Oh by the way!!!
