IG มารีญา พูลเลิศลาภ | สืบเนื่องจากวันช้างไทยที่เพิ่งผ่านไป 🐘 มารีญาอยากจะเน้นย้ำถึงความสำคัญของการอยู่ร่วมกันอย่างสงบสุขระหว่างมนุษย์กับสิ่งมีชีวิตที่อยู่คู่บารมีเหล่านี้ ประเด็นหลักก็คือช้างเอเชีย/ช้างไทยกำลังเผชิญปัญหาขาดแคลนแหล่งที่อยู่อาศัยตามธรรมชาติ จากการถูกบุกรุกถิ่นที่อยู่และการพัฒนาการเกษตรของมนุษย์…เส้นทางการย้ายถิ่นถูกตัด ทรัพยากรธรรมชาติอย่างเช่นแม่น้ำถูกกั้นด้วยโครงสร้างภาคพื้นฐาน ประชากรมนุษย์เพิ่มขึ้น (สวนทางกับจำนวนสัตว์ป่า) ด้วยอัตราที่น่าเป็นกังวล และเราต้องคำนึงถึงระบบนิเวศที่เราพึ่งพา สิ่งที่แสนมีความหมายที่ได้พบจาก @elephantnaturepark ก็คือการได้เห็นช้างที่ถูกช่วยเหลือ และช้างที่เกษียณอายุสามารถดำรงชีวิตอย่างปลอดภัยในสภาพแวดล้อมทางธรรมชาติโดยยังได้รับการดูแลแบบที่พวกเขาต้องการ เป็นอิสระจากการถูกขี่และการแสดงโชว์ “ดินแดนแสนปลอดภัยสำหรับช้างแบบที่มีกำหนดเวลา ไม่มีพื้นที่ ไม่มีบ้าน ความภาคภูมิใจของชาติกลับต้องกลายเป็นผู้ลี้ภัยบนดินแดนของตัวเอง” (@tuskntrunk ) อุทยานแห่งนี้เป็นทางเลือกในการท่องเที่ยวที่มีจริยธรรม แต่โดยส่วนใหญ่แล้วจะเป็นพื้นที่ที่คุณสามารถเป็นอาสาสมัครเพื่อช่วยเหลือช้าง With Thai National elephant day having passed us by, I wanted to highlight the importance of coexisting peacefully with these majestic creatures. 🐘 The main issue our Asian/Thai elephants face is their decreasing natural habitat due to human encroachment and argicultural developments. Migratory routes are cut off and resources such as rivers are blocked by communities and human infrastructure. Our human population increases at an alarming rate (…while wildlife goes the other way) and we have to account for the ecosystem of which we rely on. What was meaningful to see at @elephantnaturepark, was that rescued and retired elephants could live safely in a natural environment while receiving the care they need; free from riding and circus shows; “a safe haven for elephants to roam free in a time where there is no space, no more home. The elephants, the pride of the nation, have become refugees on their own land.” (@tuskntrunk ). 🌎 The park exists as an ethical alternative to wild life tourism, but principally as a space where you can volunteer to help the elephants.
